Using the right language when dealing with people:
It is understood that it is a hard job and you get tired at some point from dealing with a great number of people, listening to a great number of complaints but you must have the ethics in you to use the right kind of language while dealing with people. You need to be polite. Make sure that the words you use are not hurting anyone. Try to avoid abusive language.
Show respect towards others:
Make this a habit to respect others. Your job is to serve others, not to frighten or irritate them. You need to learn to respect others no matter what. You must set an example for the rest of the police officers.
Do not misuse your position:
We get to witness this often that police officers who are at high posts tend to abuse their posts which are a totally wrong practice. It is your duty to help people in time of need. You should learn to stay true and loyal to your profession. Do not misuse your position otherwise those around you will also start to do it.
