The criminals are people who commit crimes and go against the law. They are usually punished by the law and sentenced to jail. However, not everyone is in favour of jails. There are two points of view.
At one hand, some say that putting people behind the bars is not the best way to punish them. There are people who believe that we shouldn’t punish people and put them behind the bars because there are other ways to punish as well. It is not the best way to end crime, they argue. They believe that putting criminals in the jails will make them even harsher. The environment of jail isn’t believed to be good, it is often said the criminals are not treated in a right manner. However, there is no evidence to prove this allegation. These people believe that the criminals are already cold-hearted and most of them have had bad experiences which have turned them into a bad person.
According to them, putting people in jail will kill humanity in them and they will be more harsh to people around them and can commit more crimes once they are released from the jail. These people argue that the criminals should be provided with counselling and if keeping them away from the public is a good way to stop crime, then they should be kept at good places and provided with good environment.
On the other hand, there are others who have a different point of view. This set of people believe that putting people behind the bars is the best way to punish them. They believe that there should be a threat of punishment and that should be jail. The threat of jail will force people to think twice before committing a crime. They will think properly before committing a crime because they’ll know that there is a punishment ready for them. Also, putting criminals behind the bars will keep the public safe. The public will be safe from people who can harm them. The law enforcement professionals try their best to recognize the criminals and catch them as soon as possible to keep the community safe and give them a good environment to live.
